Dog Pack Manager

The position we need filled is a fast paced, physical job, demanding the ability to be standing, walking and moving dogs(who are 100+ lbs) for multiple hours at a time. A large part of the day will be spent outside in ALL weather. You'd need a desire to grow in knowledge of dog psychology and the skills it takes to become the stable, reliable pack leader our dogs need. It requires social and communicative skills to interact with dog owners (including having difficult discussions about behavior issues, etc.)

Daily tasks will primarily involve the constant vigilance, management and engagement of the pack: controlling the levels of excitement, slowing down play when necessary, reading the general body language and communicative behaviors of each dog in order to keep the energy stable and the pack safe. This is a VERY physical job that involves no sitting throughout the day.

Additionally, detailed, daily cleaning will be an important part of each shift as well as feeding and administering medication.

Depending on the shift, there will also be interaction with customers, relaying how their dog's day went and tactfully explaining any issues that needed to be addressed.

Shifts we're looking to cover would be:

Monday-Friday shifts: 7:30am-11am & 2:30pm-5:30pm Saturday Shifts: 9am-2pm

The first month will be a paid probationary period ($15/hour) increasing to $20/hr afterwards.
