If you're looking for a long-term career opportunity with a Main Contractor, where you can develop your skills and be part of an industry-leading organisation, this role is for you.Purpose:To be responsible for the installation of mains and services to required standards.Responsibilities:Maintain own and others health and safetyCarry out safety checks and inspections to vehicles, plant, equipment and sites as instructedEnsure that work is undertaken with due regard to the environment: prevent contamination to water supplies and water courses; maintain site cleanliness; prevent spills; minimise disturbance to members of the public; avoid damage to trees; dispose of waste only as authorised.Excavate holes using safe digging methods to avoid damage to underground utility apparatusManhandle materials, plant and equipmentInstall pipes and fittings to the appropriate standards.Drive Company vehicles with due regard to the Road Traffic Act and other road users for authorised business purposesOperate mobile plant for authorised business purposesMaintain site, vehicle, plant and equipment tidiness and securityInstall and maintain road works to ‘Chapter 8’ standardAssist members of the public, clients’ representatives and other officials in relation to Company businessMaintain safety, environmental and quality recordsReport any accidents, near misses, faults, damages or defects using appropriate documentationUndertake any other reasonable instructions given by management or supervisionJoin us at United Infrastructure today and be part of our mission to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions to the complex infrastructure needs of the UK.Please note that United Living has rebranded to United Infrastructure.
