Job Responsibilities

Read plans and create job take-offs from plans

Order materials and schedule deliveries

Lay out and manage carpentry projects

Punch out and clean up job site

Read a tape measure and make simple and compound cuts

Level, square, and plumb all lumber

Utilize various saws, drills, and nail guns

Conduct service calls to repair existing structures

Construct arbors, decks, fences, gazebos, handrails, pavilions, and pergolas using a variety of materials including cedar, pine, teak, cumara, and cypress

Work collaboratively with designers and project managers to ensure specifications and schedules are met

Accurately assess the skills of the crew and delegate tasks accordingly

Increase the top-line revenues for the department while ensuring bottom-line income is generated

Champion the culture of Father Nature, including the attentive care we offer each client and co-worker

Requirements

Strength, stamina, and mobility to perform physical work outdoors, especially during hot and cold weather conditions

Ability to carry up to 80 pounds

Ability to access and navigate our bulk yard, loading areas, office space, and other aspects of our facilities

Proficiency in English; bilingual skills are a plus
