Natural Building Construction job

I’m looking for someone to join me in building a small house project. We’re currently working on the foundation, with plenty more to come. The goal is to be working every day, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, but there may be occasional days off if we’re waiting on inspections, materials, or weather.

The first project is a 300 sq. ft. timber-framed guest house near Willow Lawn. The frame is already cut, and the walls will be built with a hempcrete enclosure system finished in lime plaster. Once this house is complete, the next project will be a renovation and addition on the main house, using the same natural materials and methods — so there’s an opportunity to stay on long term.

I’d love to work with someone who has some building experience and an interest in natural building. Attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to learn are important, since this type of work requires care and precision.

Due to the nature of the project, and the fact that I cannot guarantee work every single day during the monday-friday range, I understand if there is a time that you cannot work as well. I will treat you with respect and understanding in all things that we do.

Details

Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday (expect to work most days, with occasional down days as needed)

Pay: $16–$28/hr, depending on experience (I’ll do my best to be fair)
