We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to join our Sustaining Engineering (SE) Team. You’ll be responsible for resolving technical issues, supporting manufacturing lines, identifying areas of cost reduction, managing schedules and coordinating change orders all as part of actively monitoring product lifecycles to keep them competitive. This role demands flexibility and good communication skills as we have a wide variety and scope of projects that interface with many groups across the company and span multiple contract manufacturers and suppliers.To be successful you will be a high performer with a rare and specific skill set who can thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Your ability to think critically, lead through intellect, deliver quickly, and to partner across a wide variety of functions at Cricut to drive change in a complex setting will be essential to drive long-term improvement and efficiency while keeping products rolling off the line.Responsibilities:Work as the technical and programmatic focal point and facilitator for Sustaining Engineering activities in our Utah office.Prioritize highest value projects with US SE team and organize resources against them; backlog other ideas to keep SE to-do lists leanIdentify part, product and assembly issues quickly and work through root cause to resolutionPrepare budgets, purchase orders and schedules as needed for SE projectsIdentify cost-reduction opportunities at a part, product, assembly and calibration levelCoordinate testing activities with engineers and the quality department to ensure product meets engineering and product specificationsManage, document and confirm product changes at multiple contract manufacturers; check and maintain consistency of solutions/updates across multiple contract manufacturersEnsure that management and stakeholders are notified of any potential schedule impactsFacilitate regular status meetings with both domestic and international teams.Ensure seamless communication with other functional areas (Ops and Planning, Sourcing, Process Engineering, Logistics, SW, etc.)Coordinate and manage supplier and contract manufacturing activities to deliver on project objectives. Includes regular travel within Asia as needed (likely 4x/yr, can include travel to Malaysia and other areas of Asia)Help build a culture of trust and teamworkReinforce and continue to develop a culture of high standards
