Payroll/Office Assistant
Mid-sized privately held contractor business serving Utah, California and Arizona is seeking a part-time (20-25 hour/week) payroll accountant/office assistant for our Cedar City, Utah corporate office. This position reports directly to our Accounting Manager.
Job Description:
Payroll Accountant-
Processing onboarding and terminations of employees
Weekly payroll processing for approximately 50 employees (salaried and hourly employees in multiple states)
Manage payroll deduction elections (healthcare, 401(k), garnishments etc)
Workers compensation data collection
Office Assistant-
Opening of all Incoming mail and dispersing to the appropriate staff.
Scanning of all items into shared drive folders, and forwarding any items to the appropriate staff as needed
Ordering of and acquiring office supplies as needed
Travel arrangements when needed for staff traveling outside of their state of residence for work on projects in Arizona, California and Utah. This is inclusive of any lodging that will be needed for said employees.
Requesting & Providing W-9’s, Form 5000, Certificates of Insurance, and any other contract requirements needed on new projects; this will be inclusive of any items on Subcontractors that will be working on the projects also.
Other administrative and accounting duties as determined by the Accounting Manager
Skills Required:
Attention to detail, accuracy, organized communicator with the ability to work under payroll deadlines
Ability to work remote from other team members with limited instructions
High level technology skills with the ability to manage documents electronically Spreadsheets, word processing, specialized systems ability is critical.
