Caregiver/companion will support my 18 y/o son who has Autism and is IDD. We are located near Johnson High School, San Antonio 78261.

We need:

Mondays - Fridays in the evenings with one day on the weekends: 6 days/week.

Maddox is high functioning and active. He needs help with preparing after school snacks, chores, etc. Most of the time he is pretty easy and happy. He can get anxious and thrives with clear communication, schedule and routine.

We are a fun loving, Christian family and easy to work for as long as you understand Autism, IDD and enjoy working with kids who have special needs. There's a lot of downtime. He goes to school all day and needs light supervision and guidance as he continues to develop independence and transition into adulthood. Kindness is a must!

At present, He is attending high school until 3:30 pm each day and needs a ride home plus afterschool care into the evening. Our home is just across the street from his school. Reliability is a must! Must have drivers license and pass background check!

AS A LIVE IN POSITION, HOUSING, UTILITIES, INTERNET INCLUDED WHICH IS A BENEFIT BEFORE COMPENSATION., YOU PROVIDE YOUR OWN FOOD , CONDIMENTS , SOAPS AND DETERGENTS, ALL BASIC STAPLES CONSUMED FOR YOUR DAILY LIVING .

WAGES NEGOTIABLE BASED ON ABILITY AND PERFORMANCE. $15-25/hr

OWNING A VEHICLE IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED.

DUTIES TO PERFORM WILL BE SUPERVISING PERSONAL CARE, SCHEDULE, ADMINISTERING MEDICATION, LIGHT HOUSEKEEPING. MUST BE TIDY, ORDERLY, Etc.

APPLICANT SHOULD BE A STABLE INDIVIDUAL, PHYSICALLY ABLE WITHOUT HEALTH ISSUES. NO PETS (We already have 2 doodles) NON-SMOKERS. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE 6 FLEXIBLE HOURS OF DUTIES 5 DAYS/WEEK WITH ONE FULL DAY ON THE WEEKEND. (40 hours/week). IT DOES NOT REQUIRE 24/7 CARE WITH THE EXCEPTION OF WHEN I SELDOM GO OUT OF TOWN IN WHICH COMPENSATION WILL BE ADJUSTED . WE ARE FLEXIBLE WHEN YOU NEED SCHEDULED TIME OFF. US CITIZENSHIP NECESSARY OR A WORK VISA WITH DOCUMENTATION. BACKGROUND CHECK WILL BE PERFORMED THROUGH AN AGENCY .
