Laboratory Technician/Courier (Dallas, TX)

IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Laboratory Technician/Courier position at its facility in Dallas, TX.

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

- A high school diploma or GED (required); an associate degree in Microbiology or related field (preferred)

- Basic math skills

- Good attitude and willingness to work with others

- Good communication and organizational skills

- Ability to regularly lift up to 30lbs above waist level

- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs above waist level

- A valid US driver's license and a driving record (at least three years of driving experience) that meets/continues to meet motor vehicle risk standards, as verified through ongoing MVR monitoring.

Laboratory Technician/Courier duties include: media/sample preparation, sample sorting and log-in, sample testing steps (under supervision), compositing using aseptic technique, transcribing results, washing glassware, general laboratory cleaning, safely transporting samples from customers to the lab on a fixed schedule, cleaning and maintaining coolers for sample transport, inventory control, and other duties as assigned.

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 11:00am - 7:00pm. This is a full-time position and is eligible for standard benefits after a brief waiting period.
