The primary role of the workforce coordinator is to develop, implement, coordinate, and monitor programs and initiatives to ensure workforce training and participation targets, commitments and outcomes are achieved. Based on an exciting NSW Government project in the Sydney metropolitan area, you will play an integral part in promoting increased participation of women in construction across all levels of the project. This is a unique opportunity to take a lead role on an industry-leading pilot program for promoting gender equity, diversity and inclusion on government construction projects.The key responsibilities of this eighteen-month fixed-term position include:Building relationships with BESIX Watpac management, relevant Government departments, subcontractors and relevant external stakeholders to drive workforce training and participation outcomes for the project. Develop project-based programs and initiatives to:Increase participation and retention rates of women, apprentices and trainees on siteIncrease the uptake of construction workers completing education and trainingIncrease awareness on the importance of supporting marginalised groups to work in the construction sectorProvide ISLP (Infrastructure Skills Legacy Program) support and align with specific project targetsDeliver presentations, facilitate meetings, and engage with various working groups to achieve desired workforce training and participation outcomesCollaborate with managers, supervisors, employees, and subcontractors to assess current training gaps and identify areas of improvement.Prepare reports for management on training completion, compliance status, and ongoing needs.
