Material Handler - 2nd Shift

The Material Handler is responsible for the movement of material throughout the site.  This may include loading/unloading trailers and movement of raw materials, work in process, and finished goods. This role will be 2nd Shift, 2:45pm - 11:00pm.Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:Activities and duties may vary depending on site-specific needs. Essential functions may include, but are not limited to: Move material to/from raw, Finished, Shipping, Receiving, and manufacturing areas. Unload/load trucks/ with incoming/outgoing materials. - Verify materials against receiving/shipping documents. Complete appropriate transactions to document the movement of material within the Inventory Management System.Support inventory accuracy:Complete warehouse and departmental cycle counts and correct discrepanciesRaw/Finishing warehouse:Condense warehouse space and maintain good housekeepingPerform all assignments, duties, and tasks in a safe manner following standard procedures and practices. Encourage others to do so. Correct and/or report all unsafe conditions immediately. Perform duties to continuously improve quality and productivity.Maintain a safe, clean work area. Communicate and coordinate necessary information to appropriate department/shift employees to ensure effective operations. Support all 5S housekeeping activities.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
