Pay: $35.00 - $40.00/hrSchedule: Monday - Friday 7am - 4:30pmLocation: Douglassville, PAJob Description:The role of the Maintenance Planner is a dynamic role supporting a 24/7 operation. You will be responsible for planning corrective and preventive work orders related to the daily activities of maintenance employees on all shifts.  You will be responsible for managing projects and services with both internal resources and external vendors. In your role, your main responsibilities will be:Create maintenance schedules and generate work ordersEnsure and optimize the monitoring of an up-to-date preventive and corrective maintenance programPlan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to be performed on each shiftProduce and communicate reports on the department's performance indicatorsCoordinate with production and planning for maintenance tasks and operational needsDefine the scope of projects, solicit quotes and present them for approvalCreate and track department work orders in the ERP systemReview and prioritize all incoming work requests and view work on site for clarification of work to be performedContact vendors for technical documentation, pricing and availabilityResearch equipment manuals and vendor specifications for new parts and new generations of parts to ensure they are available when neededEstimate costs of labor and parts for industrial equipment maintenanceAdjust schedules for unexpected changes and breakdownsFollow up on inspections related to building equipment and the factory in generalManage service contracts and track performance and costThrough MRP management and forecasting, ensure that we have the necessary parts in stock for efficiently maintaining and rebuild equipment. Manage outside vendors through planning, costs and performanceServe as liaison between maintenance and operationsPrepare purchase requisitions and purchase orders. Communicate the preparation of the parts to the parts room clerkFill in when needed to receive parts and equipment.Perform cycle counts and inventory validationsEnsure the maintenance staff and operations has all the necessary parts, tools and technical information to perform the jobMaybe required to work outside normal business hours in order to handle emergencies or ensure that maintenance work does not interfere with regular operationsProvide hands on field support during breakdowns and special projects (especially over winter rebuild and maintenance days)Be a technical resource for the operations and maintenance teamsPerform other related tasks as assigned
