Entry Level Highway Engineer

AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Highway Engineer to be based in Conshohocken, PA.This position is expected to begin in June 2026.In this role, you will work with more experienced engineers to design medium to large scale transportation projects in the Greater Pennsylvania Area.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Develop design criteria, horizontal and vertical alignments, superelevation, barrier/guiderail design, and spot elevation detailsDevelop rigid and flexible pavement designsDevelop signing and pavement marking plans and detailsDevelop construction phasing plansIdentify utility conflicts and coordinate resolutionsDevelop construction quantities and cost estimatesDevelop 3D Models in OpenRoads and/or Civil 3DDevelop technical calculations and reports per client and/or internal AECOM standardsCurrent notable projects include:I-95 RECONSTRUCTION (Philadelphia, PA) – Urban interstate reconstruction including interchange ramp and local roadway re-alignments, traffic control, and utility coordination in final design to mitigate level of service and improve existing conditionsSTATE RD RECONSTRUCTION (Bucks County, PA) – Suburban arterial reconstruction including right-of-way plan development, roadway geometry, pavement design, traffic control, and utility coordination in preliminary engineering to mitigate existing roadway floodingSR1 RECONSTRUCTION (Chester County, PA) – Freeway reconstruction including profile adjustments, interchange reconstruction, interchange ramp realignments, multiple roundabout designs, trail designs, and side road alignment adjustments.US-22 RECONSTRUCTION (Allentown, PA) – Urban interstate widening from 4 to 6 lanes. Project Includes bridge replacement, interchange reconfiguration, stream relocation, sound barriers, safety improvements, traffic control, and utility coordination.I-81 RECONSTRUCTION (Avoca, Moosic, and Scranton, PA) - Urban Interstate reconstruction including mainline widening, 2 interchanges being fully reconstructed including ramp realignments, intersection improvements, right-of- way coordination, and structure coordination for 15 bridges along mainline and ramps.
