The Enterprise Applications Integrations (EAI) Specialist is an integrations engineering role within the Office of Innovation and Technology. Working under the Technical Program Manager for Shared Services, this role endeavors to connect various applications across the City to the designated platform. The specialist ensures that these connections ease access to assigned platforms, thus increasing adoption and improving customer satisfaction with City services, and serves as a front line of support throughout the integration process and beyond.

 To begin with, this role will be primarily concerned with KUBRA, the city’s payment processor, but may come to encompass other platforms as time and need allow.The Integration Specialist willEnsure seamless connection between and interactions of various systems that utilize OIT platformsImplement new features and enhancements for existing platformsCoordinate the deployment of new features across various integrationsConduct integration testing and troubleshooting for system compatibility and stabilityMonitor platform performance and address any issues that ariseProvide front-line support for new and existing implementations, will be hands-on where necessary, and will coordinate with the vendor as appropriateCollaborate with cross-functional, technical, and business process teams across the City that utilize the assigned platforms to improve experience and promote adoption of assigned platformsHelp build out and maintain a library of code / implementation examples to ease and accelerate the deployment and integration of the assigned platformsActively participates in the use, updating, and auditing of the SOP document library used by the teamChampions team initiatives, SOPs, and best practices with fellow members of the City IT communityDocuments all integrations and changes made to assigned platforms as neededExperience managing and troubleshooting complex systems in an enterprise-level environmentStrong written and oral communication skills, including being able to present ideas in user-friendly, business-friendly and technical languageCompetence and confidence in customer service skills, including troubleshooting, discussing issues, and providing options for requests and resolutions for issuesProven analytical and problem-solving abilities, including ability to anticipate, identify, and solve critical problemsAbility to build effective relationships and strong commitment to working collegially and collaboratively with clients and colleagues at all levels in a diverse and distributed environment

 Additional/Desirable Skills & AbilitiesExperience with common programming or scripting languages like: Bash Powershell Nodejs.NetExperience with payment processing or point of sale integration is a plus.Understanding of cloud technologies, in particular IaaS and Infrastructure as CodeFamiliarity with monitoring systems, automation software, and/or scripting environmentsExperience in state or local government or similar.  Experience with nonprofit or education environments may be applicable
