Architectural Drafter / Designer - Full or Part Time

Flexible Hybrid Position

We are a small residential architecture firm located in Paoli, PA specializing in residential projects with some light commercial work. We’re looking for an Architectural Drafter / Designer to join our relaxed studio environment.

This role is primarily focused on creating architectural drawings (and 3D renderings if you are able) with opportunities to contribute to design. You’ll get to see all phases of a project, from initial site survey to design concepts to construction documents, without the bureaucracy of a large firm.

What You’ll Do:

-Create architectural drawings for a wide variety of residential and small commercial projects, including design drawings, construction documents, and site plans

-Perform surveys at project sites, both with Canvas scans and by hand

-Research building and zoning codes as needed

-Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients when necessary

What We’re Looking For:

-Prior architectural drafting experience, 2-5+ years (not an entry-level role)

-Understanding of residential construction methods and detailing

-Ability to work independently

-Strong preference for experience creating photo-realistic 3D renderings

-Software skills: we primarily use DataCAD for drawing, and Sketchup with Vray for rendering. DataCAD is easy to learn with prior CAD experience and training will be provided. We may also start incorporating Chief Architect in the near future.

Compensation:

Pay is competitive and based on experience and capabilities. We are open to full or part time, salary or hourly.
