Locum Tenens Dentist Needed

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Locum Tenens Dentist to cover our practice while the sole practitioner is out on maternity leave for two months (February - March 2026). The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients of all ages, with a focus on general dentistry. The Dentist will perform various procedures, including examinations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and basic restorative treatments while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

We are open Monday - Thursday, 8 am - 5pm.

Duties

-Conduct thorough patient assessments and examinations to diagnose dental conditions

-Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients

-Perform a variety of dental procedures, including but not limited to: composite restorations, crowns, and bridges.

-Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures

-Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations

-Ensure infection control protocols are followed, including aseptic techniques

-Educate patients on oral health, hygiene practices, and preventive care

-Collaborate with dental hygienists and support staff to provide comprehensive patient care

-Proficiency in dental software Dentrix

-Strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology

-Excellent patient care skills with a focus on comfort and understanding during treatments

-Ability to perform complex procedures with precision and attention to detail

-Familiarity with medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry

-Strong understanding of anatomy related to oral health and dental procedures

-Previous experience in a dental office or clinic environment is preferred
