Job Description

Function as a 2 YEAR RESIDENTIAL Journeyman Electrician for ProTech Power, installing new electrical systems and repairing existing electrical systems while maintaining compliance with national, state and local electrical codes along with all internal ProTech Power policies and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

Test, repair, maintain, modify residential electrical systems according to ProTech Power policies, operations and productivity initiatives, including preventive maintenance on electrical systems.

Be capable to safely handle industry related hand tools, power tools and materials such as: ladders, inverters, panel boards, batteries and other similar electrical equipment. Measure, cut etc. and install wire and electrical cable systems.

Have the ability to terminate, pull into and feed wire and cable. In addition, splice and terminate wires at junction points.

Be a participant in assisting training other employees and apprentices. Being able delegate tasks efficiently and appropriately. Effectively communicate with Foremen, office and team members.

Being able to sustain workflow schedule to make certain all ProTech Power productivity objectives are met.

Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with colleagues, customers and vendors.

Comply with ProTech Power’s safety policies and procedures.

Skills

Must hold a current 2 YEAR RESIDENTIAL Journeyman Electrician license.

Ability to install, build and maintain various power systems and control panels

Follow Electrical codes and installation guidelines

Diagnosing and repairing faults in electrical apparatus and circuits

Ability to verify compliance and functionality of installed systems.

Manage material estimates and material orders.

Have strong leadership and pre-planning abilities.

Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success

Great communication skills and the ability to help with the management of a project and crew.

Keep your company van clean, inside an out and van inventory up to date

Basic computer skills

Ability to work in extreme environments: work may be physical and the employee may be required to lift 50 lbs and be able to pull 70 lbs of force; squatting or kneeling may be required while wearing a 25 lb tool belt. Be able to climb and work off of ladders, stand for long periods of time while grasping or manipulating wires. While working for Pro Tech Power, employee may be encounter varying weather including, cold, snow, rain and heat; some job sites may have high levels of noise.
