Full time sewing and embroidery position

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Apparel Customization Lead to manage all in-house garment modification and personalization work. This is a key position within our operation — you will be the sole expert responsible for sewing, alterations, heat press applications, and embroidery on uniforms, gear, and apparel.

You’ll work independently but closely with our retail and sales teams to fulfill customer orders, ensure accuracy, and uphold Greystone Tactical’s reputation for precision and quality.

NOTE: Resumes must clearly demonstrate experience operating embroidery machines and performing garment sewing/alterations. Applications without this will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Perform uniform alterations including hemming, patch application, and tailoring

Operate and maintain embroidery machines for logos, name tapes, and insignia

Use heat press equipment for vinyl, patch, and branding applications

Read and interpret work orders to customize apparel per customer specifications

Manage workflow independently and prioritize jobs efficiently

Ensure finished products meet high standards of quality and presentation

Maintain sewing, embroidery, and press equipment in top working condition

Collaborate with store staff to confirm order details and timelines

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area

Qualifications

Experience with both embroidery machines and sewing is required

Skilled in garment alterations and industrial sewing

Proficient with heat press equipment and apparel customization

Ability to work independently and manage a production workflow

Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship

Familiarity with tactical uniforms or duty apparel is a plus

Comfortable in a retail environment and able to communicate professionally

Ability to lift/move gear and stand for extended periods as needed
