Evening & Weekend Battery and Roadside Assistance Technician

Job Overview:

We’re looking for a reliable and customer-focused Battery and Roadside Assistance Technician to join our team during evenings and weekends. This role provides on-site battery services and roadside support, combining hands-on automotive work with customer service and sales. You’ll help diagnose issues, replace batteries, handle minor vehicle concerns, and recommend additional services—all while delivering a professional and reassuring experience to customers in need.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide evening and weekend roadside assistance calls in a timely and professional manner.

Perform light vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire repairs, fluid checks, and minor mechanical fixes.

Diagnose and troubleshoot battery issues; recommend and install replacements when needed.

Safely handle and dispose of old batteries while educating customers on proper care and maintenance.

Deliver excellent customer service by explaining solutions clearly and offering service recommendations.

Accurately complete work orders, reports, and related documentation.

Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe, organized condition.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior automotive experience (0–2 years) is helpful but not required.

Skills: Strong communication and customer service abilities; mechanical aptitude; comfortable recommending additional services.

Certifications: Valid driver’s license required. ASE certification or equivalent experience is a plus.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Travel to different service locations required.

Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and sometimes in confined spaces.
