Position OverviewThe Special Education Teacher plays a vital role in ensuring that all students — including those with exceptionalities — receive the individualized support and high-quality instruction they need to thrive. This teacher will collaborate with general education teachers, families, and service providers to create inclusive learning environments and to deliver instruction aligned with each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP).Key ResponsibilitiesInstruction & SupportProvide direct instruction to students with disabilities in inclusive and small group settings.

 Differentiate instruction to meet the unique learning needs of students with IEPs.

 Modify and adapt curriculum materials as needed to support student access and engagement.

 Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary.

 Collaboration & ComplianceDevelop, implement, and manage IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations.

 Collaborate closely with general education teachers to co-plan lessons, accommodations, and modifications.

 Partner with families to communicate student progress and build supportive home-school relationships.

 Coordinate with related service providers (e.g., speech, OT, PT) to ensure cohesive support.
