OverviewYour responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the duties outlined below, in addition to those described in the Math and Reading Interventionist job description on file with Talent/HR for the District, and those provided for in the employee handbook.Your scheduled work hours are 7:30am – 4:30pm.Instructional Delivery and AssessmentDevelop and implement Oklahoma standards-based intervention plans that address the math and reading needs of students at varying skill levels.Provide targeted small-group and/or one-on-one instruction to accelerate student growth in foundational literacy and numeracy.Use formative and summative assessment data to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies, ensuring each student makes measurable gains.Collaborate with classroom teachers to align intervention supports with core instruction and grade-level expectations.Embrace and apply feedback from coaching, walkthroughs, and data discussions to continuously improve instructional practice.Academic and Cultural SupportPartner with content and grade-level teams to promote an environment that prioritizes critical thinking, academic rigor, and equitable learning opportunities for all students.Build trusting, positive, and supportive relationships with students and families that reinforce high expectations and academic confidence.Participate fully in school culture responsibilities, including morning duty, hallway oversight, lunch duty, and dismissal supervision.Attend and actively engage in school-based events such as staff meetings, back-to-school nights, open houses, orientations, parent-teacher conferences, PTO events, and other community gatherings.Create, update, and communicate individualized intervention plans to families and teachers to ensure unified support for student progress.Demonstrate professionalism through timely communication, documentation, and adherence to deadlines.CompetenciesCommitment to KIPP Tulsa’s mission and belief in every student’s ability to achieve at high levels.Proven success in helping children, especially those in educationally underserved communities, make measurable academic progress.Strong desire to implement high-quality, focused intervention instruction and commit to the extended school day, week, and year that supports student success.Openness to continual professional growth; ability to receive and implement feedback and contribute to the growth of others.Flexibility, initiative, and a solutions-oriented mindset; willingness to do what is necessary to ensure every KIPP Tulsa scholar has access to excellent education and meaningful support.
