2024 USA Today Top Workplace!Cooper Auto Group is accepting applications for an experience transmission specialist at our state of the art 36,000 sqft Reconditioning Center.The reconditioning center supports Cooper Auto Group retail dealerships by providing all necessary maintenance/repairs prior to market. This is a high volume operation and a tremendous opportunity to gain valuable experience in an industry that is in high demand.ResponsibilitiesDiagnoses transmission related issued using appropriate diagnostic tools and test drives. Remove, disassemble, inspect, and repair or rebuild transmissions and related components.Install new or rebuilt transmissions and ensure proper operation and performance.Document all work performed accurately on repair orders in compliance with dealership and manufacturer standards.Communicate findings and recommended repairs clearly with the internal service advisor and/or Reconditioning Center manager.Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairsEnsures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standardsHelps maintain shop appearance and safety standards and ensures the shop runs in an efficient manner by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functionsFollows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rulesAttends all staff meetings, training, and educational classes as requiredPerforms other duties as assigned
