AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Geologist for the Greenville, SC office to support soil and groundwater investigations and remediation projects in accordance with Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), various South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES) and North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ) programs and other regulatory agencies.The selected candidate will conduct field tasks, including site investigations, drilling oversight, soil and groundwater sample collection, and related work. The candidate may also provide office support for data management, report preparation, and maintain the required AECOM-related documentation and forms.This position is expected to begin as soon as possible.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Conducting environmental field work, including water level measurements and collection of soil, groundwater, soil gas, surface water and pore water samples in addition to field parameters. Recording of remediation system data, soil logging, and oversight of field surveys, well installation oversight, well development, and utility clearance for intrusive operations.Field document preparation, field data collection, processing, and interpretation.Supporting office tasks, including data analysis and report preparation.Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
