Wine & Spirits Retail EXPERIENCED ONLY

Seeking Experienced Associate to work in high-volume Wine & Spirits Store (located in Financial District)

Need a knowledgeable person who can watch the store, do basic stocking, assist customers, protect the inventory, opening and closing the store and operate a POS System.

Qualifications:

Experience in NYC retail Wine & Liquor stores

Solid fundamental Wine & Spirits knowledge - this will be tested

Ability to stock the store and operate POS system, handle the store by yourself

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Minimum 1 year experience in a NYC-volume Wine & Spirits retail store

Ability/comfortability working independently & alone frequently

Excellent communication skills & customer service presence/poise -cool under pressure

Availability to work weekends is a must (approximately 30 hours)

Ability to lift 40 pounds (wine cases) need to stock and maintain the cleanliness of the store

Fundamental wine & spirits knowledge

Job Duties:

Providing exceptional customer service to customers

Answer varied questions about wine & spirits products to assist guest selection

Maintaining orderliness & efficiency at the register… speedy & no cash mistakes!

Stocking shelves, moving wine cases, sweeping/vacuuming/dusting as needed

Be street smart Vigilant against shoplifters, vagrants, “hustling” customers etc.

Work within our existing team and becoming a member of a team.

Helpful skills:

Familiarity with Square Retail POS system

Wine skills certification

Desire for ultra-stable job.
