Custodian/Janitor for Church in Westchester

Chappaqua church is seeking an EXPERIENCED Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous custodial and janitorial experience and will be responsible for performing routine cleaning, repairs, and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment. The main goal of this role is to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for our congregation, nursery school and visitors. This is a full-time, Monday- Friday position. Salary range is $20-25 per hour, commensurate on experience.

Duties include, but not limited to: Clean/sanitize restroom facilities; Clean/sanitize nursery school classrooms; Mop, sweep and vacuum floors throughout building; Handle garbage; Shampoo carpets and rugs; light landscaping and snow shoveling.

Skills to have: Proficient in custodial and facilities maintenance tasks; handyman skills (painting, carpentry, lawn care etc.) a plus; Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness; Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders and work at particular heights.
