This position offers the opportunity to work on unique, custom projects while balancing professional growth with personal well-being.ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise a team of construction professionals in the building of custom homes, including log, timber-frame, and stick-frame structures.Work alongside the team, performing master carpenter-level tasks such as running crown molding, interpreting blueprints, laying out stairs, constructing hip and valley roofs, cabinet installation, mortise and tenon timber framing, and coffered ceilings.Ensure all work meets project specifications and high-quality standards.Promote and maintain a safe work environment, ensuring all team members adhere to safety protocols.Identify, manage, and resolve risks and issues that arise during construction operations, escalating to leadership as needed.Collaborate with the Construction Operations Manager to keep projects on schedule and within budget.Coordinate with subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with project requirements and addressing any concerns.Manage delivery and organization of materials and resources on job sites.Serve clients and team members through a servant leadership approach, fostering a positive and productive team culture.Perform other duties as assigned to support project and team success.QualificationsMinimum 5 years of progressive carpentry experience, including master carpenter-level skills.Experience in construction team leadership, with at least 5 years preferred.Proficiency in advanced carpentry techniques, including blueprint interpretation, complex cuts, and specialty installations.Familiarity with equipment used in carpentry and custom log home/timber framing construction.Valid driver’s license.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, leadership, clients, and subcontractors.Proficiency with email, texting, and mobile software applications.Excellent problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented approach.Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Flexibility in scheduling, especially during peak periods.Consistent and reliable attendance.High level of integrity, work ethic, and confidentiality.Emotional intelligence and a commitment to team service and leadership.Physical ability to perform construction tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, and traveling to various job sites.
