The Plant Inventory Coordinator plays a vital role in the success of a large-scale construction project by overseeing all activities related to the tracking, counting, and management of plant assets and equipment. This position ensures accurate and timely inventory records, supports logistics and procurement teams, and contributes to efficient resource utilization across multiple job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of all plant and equipment inventory, including tools, machinery, and construction vehicles
Conduct regular physical counts and reconcile discrepancies between actual inventory and system records
Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and procurement teams to forecast equipment needs and availability
Use inventory management software to monitor usage, location, condition, and maintenance schedules
Track the movement of assets between project sites to ensure accountability and timely deployment
Prepare inventory reports and analysis for senior management to support planning and budgeting decisions
Assist in implementing inventory control processes and identify opportunities for improvements
