Senior Financial Analyst, TV Networks

Role Overview:The Senior Financial Analyst, TV Networks will report to the Manager, TV Networks and serve as key member of the Controllership Group within the TV Networks Group at Versant Media.  The TV Networks Group includes the best brands in the industry, including MSNBC, CNBC, E!, Oxygen, SyFy, USA Network and various sports properties that air on these networks. This role provides an outstanding opportunity to learn about the entertainment industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, a keen attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to support the monthly and quarterly financial close processes.  Key Responsibilities:Support the monthly and quarterly financial close process for the TV Networks organization, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and company policiesPrepare and post journal entries with a focus on linear distribution, advertising, and other revenue streamsMaintain and complete assigned Blackline account reconciliations, ensuring timely certification, proper backup, and resolution of reconciling itemsSupport preparation and delivery of regular and ad hoc reporting packages for financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow) and management reviewAssist in maintaining and improving close documentation, reconciliation standards, and recurring processesAssist with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance activities by maintaining and updating control documentation and supporting audit requests Collaborate across the broader Controllership & Finance organizations to support consistency, alignment, and effective execution of close and reporting processes
