We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Import-Export Analyst to join our team, specializing in cross-border operations between the U.S. and Mexico. This role involves managing and ensuring compliance with customs documentation, optimizing trade operations under USMCA and other agreements, and coordinating logistics to ensure efficient and legal import/export processes. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, and possess deep knowledge of customs regulations and cross-border trade. Prepare and manage comprehensive customs documentation for the importation of raw materials, machinery, and equipment to/from the U.S. and Mexico, ensuring full regulatory compliance for both temporary and permanent imports.Ensure the timely and accurate classification and reporting of goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule and collaborate with customs brokers to prevent classification errors.Ensure that all finished goods meet the requirements of USMCA (United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement) and other applicable trade agreements, including tariff preference mechanisms such as IMMEX, Rule 8, and PROSEC, prior to import/export.Maximize duty reductions and minimize penalties by ensuring correct documentation and compliance with trade regulations.Prepare detailed export documentation, including for scrap returns, and ensure full adherence to U.S. Customs regulations, as well as Mexican export compliance.Support smooth cross-border trade operations through continuous monitoring of compliance and timely resolution of any import/export issues.Oversee the coordination of the movement of goods across the U.S.-Mexico border, working closely with logistics teams, customs brokers, and business partners to ensure timely deliveries.Track shipments, ensure accurate documentation, and ensure goods meet regulatory standards for both U.S. and Mexican authorities.Upload new finished goods and part numbers into the appropriate customs systems (e.g., "Cumple" system) and collaborate with internal teams and external brokers to ensure data accuracy.Review and verify consolidated pedimentos (customs documents) for payment processing, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and free of discrepancies to avoid penalties.Stay up to date with changes in U.S. and Mexican trade laws and regulations, incorporating necessary adjustments into company procedures to maintain compliance.Provide internal training and updates to relevant teams on regulatory changes and best practices.Prepare and control US customs documents for importations separating costs of raw material (glass) used from other origin’s materials.Review if finish goods to be exported qualify for USMCA.Prepare Export documents for US customs’ compliance.Share with customs broker report for entries’ closing.Request information of duties to the US customs broker when needed.Monthly preparation of reports of duties cost avoidance.
