The Mountaintop Group is a boutique real estate advisory firm with a growing presence in Northern & Central New Jersey. We’re looking for a licensed residential agent to join our team. Position Overview:

This commission-based role will split time between supporting buyer clients and prospecting for new residential listings in Central and Northern NJ. Your time will be spent working with our team’s existing buyer leads—coordinating showings, preparing offers, and guiding them through the purchase process. Additionally, you will focus on building local relationships, canvassing neighborhoods, and identifying potential sellers to bring new listings to market.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a local expert for buyers, attending showings and walking clients through the offer and transaction process

Work with team-generated leads and respond quickly to new inquiries

Actively prospect for listings through calls, door knocking, social media, and attending local events

Build strong relationships in the Somerville community to drive long-term listing opportunities

Collaborate with our marketing team to promote listings and your own personal brand

Track leads and communication through CRM platforms and weekly meetings

Qualifications:

Active New Jersey Real Estate License required

Local market knowledge—particularly in Somerville and surrounding towns—is a plus

Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with both first-time buyers and seasoned homeowners

Self-driven and entrepreneurial mindset

Availability for in-person work and local travel within Northern & Central NJ

Bilingual is a huge plus.

Compensation:

This is a 100% commission-based position. Agents benefit from a generous commission split, team support, and cross-referral opportunities within our advisory and investment divisions.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $40,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
