Hooklift Dumpster Driver - FT

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Hooklift Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of roll-off containers to various job sites. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

Operate roll-off trucks, ensuring safe loading, unloading, and transportation of containers.

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.

Load and unload materials from roll-off containers at designated locations.

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and vehicle maintenance.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.

Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.

Assist in the maintenance of the truck, including basic mechanical repairs when necessary. (Not mandatory but helpful)

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL A or B) with a clean driving record.

Experience driving Hooklift / Dump trucks

Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on vehicles.

Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively.

Experience as a delivery driver or in a related field is a plus.

This physically strenuous position involves mounting and dismounting a heavy-duty truck many times each day. In addition, the position involves occasional lifting (up to 50 - 75 pounds), pushing, pulling and bending.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Schedule: 8 hour shift - OT is available
