You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.On Thursday and Friday, interviews will take place at our New York office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to be based in New York, NY.This position is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2026.

Our expertise and global reach enable us to deliver high-quality solutions for our clients that pave the way for long-lasting benefits to society.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Undertaking design and planning activities on maritime projects - container terminals, mining/bulk, oil/gas, marinas, ports and harbors, coastal resiliency, and development schemes.Undertaking design and planning activities on vertical building structural projects – aviation facilities, transit stations, freight rail facilities, and ancillary buildings related to roadway projects.Preparing structural design utilizing hand calculations, Excel workbooks, and advanced structural analysis software to determine applied loading, demand requirements, and appropriate foundation and member specifications.Preparing structural technical sketches, drawings, specifications and reports under the supervision of senior staff.Exercising judgment in developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.  Coordinating with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed.Performing condition assessments and site visits as needed. Occasional short to medium term site visits may also become necessary depending on project requirements.
