As the Assistant Night Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring the seamless overnight operation of the hotel, providing leadership to the Night Audit team and maintaining exceptional guest service standards in the absence of the Night Manager.You will oversee the night audit and reporting process, respond to guest requests and incidents with professionalism and care, and ensure the safety, security, and comfort of both guests and team members throughout the night.This role is perfect for an experienced Night Auditor or Front Office professional ready to take the next step in their career, bringing confidence, accountability, and a calm approach to every challenge.What you’ll be doing:Hold responsibility and accountability for the efficient operation of the Hotel while the Night Manager is not on duty.Cross check and balance work completed during the day for all outlets on a shift.Prepare reports reflecting trading results of the property on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.Take and prepare room service orders.Effectively handle guest complaints.Ensure house security including fire prevention and protection, health, safety and staff checks, detection of breaches of security and the laws by which the company is governed. Maintain responsibility for the overall auditing and administration function of the Night Audit team.Manage the Guest Relations function and confidently manage any disruptive guests and ensure discreet removal (as required).Responsible for all other departments in the absence of their respective managers for the duration of the night time operation.Be available at all times for guest queries.Ensure the Hotel is operating efficiently and according to Hotel policy.Participate in workplace consultation on matters pertaining to WHS.
