The Assistant Area Delivery Manager supports the Area Delivery Manager in delivering safe, compliant, and high-performing fulfilment operations. This role plays a critical part in coordinating fulfilment teams, ensuring service excellence across The Warehouse Group brands, and supporting the ongoing commercial viability of the business. With direct leadership responsibility for a small team, this role is ideal for a developing operational leader who enjoys being hands-on, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about people leadership, safety, and continuous improvement.  Key Responsibilities Include: Operational Support & Performance Support the Area Delivery Manager in achieving DC operational performance targets Deliver service level agreements, customer and store service KPIs, and stock control targets Ensure customer and fulfilment records are accurately maintained Ensure the movement and storage of goods is completed effectively and efficiently People Leadership Line manage, coach, and develop a team of fulfilment leaders and team members Support workforce planning, recruitment, scheduling, and training to meet safety and operational requirements Build a high-performance culture aligned to company policies and values Safety & Compliance Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations and company policies Promote a proactive safety culture through training, engagement, and regular audits Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and contribute to a safe working environment Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with Store Managers, DC Managers, Merchandising, and Category Buying teams to align operations with business objectives Partner with the Safety Partner and HRBP on people, wellbeing, and compliance matters Collaborate with NLG Accounts Payable, Fleet, and Facilities & Maintenance teams to support seamless operations Build strong working relationships with 3PL logistics partners and suppliers to ensure service quality and reliability Continuous Improvement Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives across operations and ways of working Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance customer outcomes Use data and insights to support informed decision-making and operational improvements
