Job Title: Janitorial & Maintenance Supervisor

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Janitorial & Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of our fitness facility. This role combines direct janitorial work, daily facility inspections, and the supervision of a janitorial team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and the technical knowledge to perform general maintenance while ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily cleaning of men’s locker room, shower area, toilets, steam room, sauna, lockers, and locker areas.

Supervise, schedule, and instruct janitorial staff to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Lead by example, motivating the janitorial team to perform their best work.

Conduct daily facility walk-throughs to assess cleanliness, safety, and overall maintenance needs.

Identify and report maintenance issues; perform general repairs when appropriate.

Coordinate with other maintenance team members to ensure smooth facility operations.

Ensure proper use and care of cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment.

Provide excellent customer service when interacting with members, promptly addressing concerns or issues.

Maintain organized records of schedules, cleaning logs, and maintenance tasks.

Uphold safety protocols and maintain compliance with health and facility standards.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in janitorial services, facility maintenance, or a supervisory role preferred.

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Hands-on approach with the ability to both supervise and perform cleaning/maintenance duties.

Knowledge of cleaning methods, sanitation standards, and general maintenance practices.

Ability to recognize facility issues (repairs, safety hazards, cleanliness needs) and take timely action.

Reliable, detail-oriented, and customer service focused.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.

Comfortable working in locker room, sauna, and steam room environments.
