Maintenance Superintendent

To support this mission, Syngenta is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent in Omaha, NE. This role will lead maintenance organizations, including Supervisors, Planners, Technicians, I/E Specialists, and Electricians.Accountabilities:Lead and develop high-performing maintenance teams including Supervisors, Planners, Technicians, I/E Specialists, and Electricians through mentoring, skill development, performance management, and career advancement.Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration across all maintenance operations.Manage daily maintenance activities, work order execution, planning, scheduling, and parts management to optimize maintenance best practices and minimize production disruptions.Monitor and improve maintenance KPIs, equipment reliability, and availability through preventive/corrective maintenance programs and root cause analysis for critical equipment.Champion a zero-incident safety culture by ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies, leading by example, and driving a safety-first mindset across all teams.Manage maintenance budgets and resources effectively to support organizational objectives.Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement innovative maintenance solutions to enhance operational efficiency.Serve as primary liaison between maintenance and other departments, building strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and leadership while communicating strategies, performance, and cross-functional project initiatives.
