The qualified candidate should have diesel repair experience of at least two years, and up to master/expert experience. Pay rate will depend on experience level and ability to work independently. The Diesel Mechanic will work with the lead mechanic in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining the fleet of waste hauling trucks and related equipment, such as skid loader, trailers, etc. Must be able to perform routine maintenance and repairs to brakes, tires, wheel seals, hydraulics and electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

Make general mechanical repairs to engines, brakes, tires and truck bodies.

Perform routine preventative maintenance service.

Understand DOT regulations and keep trucks running in accordance with those specifications.

Have a positive attitude and be open to learning about various types of equipment from a master mechanic.

Job Type: Full-time Monday-Friday plus OT
