Chainsaw operator/sawyer

We are hiring sawyers and/or chainsaw operators to assist in the cutting of National Forest boundaries.

Job duties include:

- Thinning/brushing a 6' swath of vegetation and trees (similar to a fire break) with chainsaws along the national forest/cutting unit boundaries.

- Blazing and marking trees with axes and other hand tools.

- Hiking and carrying over 50 lbs through the steep and rugged forest.

- Physically demanding work with long days.

Temporary contract work and competitive pay depending on experience.

Work is located between Neihart and Monarch MT. Position available starting immediately.
