Electrical Engineer - Life Sciences

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer II to support the design and engineering of electrical systems across a variety of projects. This role focuses on power distribution, lighting, grounding/bonding, special systems (e.g., telecom/data, security, fire alarm), raceways, cable trays, and other building support systems.Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will contribute to all phases of design—from conceptual development to construction administration. You will also assist with engineering calculations, documentation, and coordination with internal teams and external partners. This position offers opportunities for mentorship, professional development, and hands-on experience in advanced technology environments.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute electrical design tasks under the supervision of a senior engineer.Design electrical systems of basic complexity in compliance with applicable codes and standards.Perform engineering calculations including illumination, power load, conduit and wire sizing, short circuit, and voltage drop.Develop technical documentation such as one-line diagrams, basis of design reports, specifications, and installation details.Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated and constructible designs.Utilize BIM and CAD software for modeling and documentation.Conduct field investigations to assess existing conditions and integrate new designs.Support construction activities including RFIs, submittal reviews, punch lists, and progress reports.Participate in quality assurance reviews and contribute to the production of high-quality deliverables.Mentor entry-level engineers and interns.Assist in project programming and master planning with guidance from senior staff.Work on multiple projects simultaneously as directed by a supervisor.
