Here at Weldit Metalworks Inc, we take pride in creativity, adaptability, and industry-specific innovation. With the recent expansion of our welding department, we’re looking for an Experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our skilled, hardworking team.

This is not your typical production welding job. Our projects are custom and varied, requiring adaptability, problem-solving, and teamwork. The right candidate will thrive in a shop where every day brings something new.

Key Responsibilities:

-Perform MIG welding in a variety of custom fabrication projects.

-Stage, fit, and weld components in multiple placements and configurations.

-Manage workload based on production schedules and project priorities.

-Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications with accuracy.

-Troubleshoot fabrication challenges and implement creative, practical solutions.

-Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment, following shop safety protocols.

-Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the welding department.

Requirements:

-Experience: Minimum 10 years of MIG welding (pulsed MIG preferred).

-Education/Training: Welding degree or certification strongly preferred.

-High proficiency in: Blueprint reading, Welding in all positions, Grinding, plasma cutting, and oxy/acetylene cutting.

-Strong work ethic, problem-solving ability, and commitment to quality.

-Willingness to learn and adapt to specialized shop techniques.

-Physical ability: Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 100 lbs.; repetitive grasping and rotating; able to work in physically demanding environments and confined spaces.

-Work environment: Exposure to welding smoke, heat, and noise levels above 80 dB.

Applicants will be subject to a hands-on performance test as part of the application process

Position Details:

-Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Occasional Friday overtime required)

-Hours: 40 hours/week + OT as needed

-Type: Full-time
