Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shop/Yard Assistant to join our team. OKD Transport operates a fleet of gravel trains (heavy dump trucks) that deliver aggregates and landscape materials. This position will help to maintain and support the yard and the mechanic's shop.

Responsibilities

-Clean and maintain organization of the mechanic's garage

-Clean and maintain organization of the truck yard

-Pick up and return parts from various vendors

-Running errands to support the Operations Team as needed

-Operate a fork lift and skid steer

Requirements

-Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in operating various tools and machinery.

-Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

-Ability to lift 50 pounds or more

-Ability to operate a fork lift and skid steer safely and efficiently is preferred.

-Capability to perform physical tasks outdoors in varying weather conditions.

-Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm
