CNC Machine Operator – Full-Time (Northborough, MA)

ATS Cases is seeking a hands-on, skilled CNC Programmer and Operator with expertise in Solidworks and Mastercam to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality parts to specification, edit program and make adjustments necessary for piece parts to conform to print tolerance.

ATS Cases, Inc., a long-established manufacturing company located in the heart of New England’s high-tech region, is looking for a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our production team.

We manufacture custom-engineered shipping and storage containers for the Aerospace, Defense, and Medical industries.

Responsibilities:

Select proper material as indicated on shop order.

Check all parts to print dimensions using dial calipers, micrometers, drop indicator, comparator and similar inspection tools.

Perform first piece part inspection and in-process inspections as necessary to insure all parts meet print tolerance.

Ensure good quality and a clean and safe work area at all times.

Conduct daily maintenance on equipment.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Must be able to work overtime as required

Maintain high quality standards and attention to detail

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC milling and programming.

Proficient in Mastercam for creating and editing CNC programs.

Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Familiarity with other CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks)

Ability to read drawings and use measuring tools accurately

Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team

Must work onsite in Northborough, MA

Desirable Qualification:

H.S. Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a vocational school in manufacturing/machining or engineering discipline is a plus.

This position requires a level of knowledge usually associated with a High/Vocational school diploma with knowledge of basic shop math, blue print reading and inspection equipment with three to five years of experience utilizing various CNC machines
