Tutoring Services is seeking a passionate and skilled tutor for part time support , focusing on literacy and mathematics instruction for students in kindergarten through seventh grade (K-7).

Key Qualifications & Requirements

We are looking for a tutor who can provide high-quality, individualized instruction and meet the following criteria:

Instructional Differentiation: Must be able to differentiate instruction effectively, tailoring teaching methods, materials, and pace to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each student. This includes adapting content for students who are struggling, as well as those who are ready for enrichment.

Evidence-Based Strategies: Must be proficient in and able to apply evidence-based strategies for both literacy and math.

Literacy: Familiarity with structured literacy approaches (e.g., phonics, phonemic awareness) and comprehension strategies is essential.

Mathematics: Ability to use concrete, representational, and abstract (CRA) methods, and foster deep conceptual understanding alongside procedural fluency.

Grade Level Expertise: Solid knowledge of the K-7 curriculum for both literacy and mathematics.

Communication: Excellent communication skills to provide clear feedback to students and maintain open, professional communication with Grace Tutoring Services and parents.

Experience: Previous tutoring or teaching experience with elementary and middle school students is highly preferred. A teaching certification or relevant degree is a plus.
