AECOM is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager the Renewable Team within the US Energy Practice. AECOM offers the freedom and flexibility to work remotely and/or be located at a variety of Energy offices located in multiple locations across the United States.Our team provides a wide range of services across markets sectors including transmission (substations, overhead and underground transmission systems, generator interconnections, interconnection strategy), renewable generation (Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems, Wind), power distribution (overhead and underground power systems, EV charging networks, microgrid design, etc.), and next generation energy (hydrogen, fuel cells, electrolyzers, etc.). We seek a project professional able to manage the design process from the project basis of design stage through the issuance of construction drawings, ensuring seamless coordination between internal and external stakeholders.This position requires a strong understanding of engineering design, interconnection, electrical equipment and construction processes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to lead matrixed design teams and manage client-approved engineering consultants.The successful candidate will:Use their strong working knowledge of the renewables market and utilities to manage the full life cycle of projectsBe responsible for design, permitting, construction, community engagement, and establishing/achieving critical project milestonesUtilize your strong interpersonal, organizational, and creative problem-solving skills, to collaborate and lead project stake holdersWork closely with the Project Team to confirm deliverables and services are being provided to exceed client’s satisfaction. This includes coordination with team members across the worldIdentify project opportunities early and facilitate go/no-go decisions, determine project fees, write proposals, prepare and lead client presentations, and negotiation of contractsSupport development and maintenance of business plan; lead and support proposal efforts to support profitable growthEnjoy building teams, capturing new work, and growing Client relationshipsTake ownership of internal project financials, staffing, legal coordination, and risk managementBe results-oriented with strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, collaboration and leadership skillsEnjoy managing projects that vary in size and complexity in multiple locations
