This role is ideal for individuals with a strong clinical background and simulation experience, passionate about supporting nursing students in their academic and professional journey.Position OverviewIn collaboration with academic partners, faculty, and staff, the Student Learning Specialist provides strategic academic reinforcement to students throughout their program and as they prepare for NCLEX-RN success. This includes individualized and group support, personalized remediation planning, and active involvement in clinical learning labs and simulated patient care experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesSimulation & Lab SupportFacilitate simulation-based experiences (SBE) and labs, including equipment maintenance, supply management, setup, and cleanupDevelop and implement clinically based scenarios using high-fidelity patient simulatorsCoordinate and supervise lab experiences to ensure alignment with course objectivesStaff open labs and provide individual oversight during practice and remediation of technical nursing skillsAcademic SupportDemonstrate current, detailed knowledge of NCLEX-RN concepts and nursing practiceAssist in the creation of Next Generation NCLEX activities and workshopsProvide individual and group tutoringConduct outreach to students with at-risk referralsCreate and implement personalized remediation plansCommunicate and document student progress toward learning outcomes to academic leadershipProfessional StandardsUphold service excellence in friendliness, professionalism, communication, and responsivenessComply with all institutional policies and standardsPerform other duties as assigned
