Metro Maids Des Moines is looking to welcome a part-time independent contractor to our trusted team!

Are you a skilled cleaner with your own clients, but looking to fill a few gaps in your schedule? We’d love to work with you! We’re a locally owned, family-run business serving homes across the Des Moines metro—and we’re proud to be the #1 choice for busy families and working professionals.

Unlike several other competitors, we are not a franchise and we offer much higher wages. Many of our cleaners make more than $25+ per hour, including tips and bonuses. We are also the most flexible company in the area - we allow you to set your own schedule and work only when and where you want to work. When you work for us at Metro Maids Des Moines, you will set your availability through our mobile app and clock in and out right from your phone. You set your schedule and we will only assign jobs based on your availability.

Metro Maids Des Moines does NOT provide supplies or insurance; however, we handle all advertising, scheduling, estimates, customer service, and billing, and let you focus on just your work. This is a 1099 contractor role where you'll be expected to work independently.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

2 years of paid house cleaning experienced is required

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently.

Reliable transportation and punctuality.

Must speak English (conversational okay)

Have your own transportation and cleaning supplies

Must have or be willing to get General Liability Insurance (very quick process; roughly $45/month)

Responsibilities:

Routine, deep, and move-in/move-out cleanings for residential homes

Clean and sanitize residential properties, including bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and bedrooms.

Follow established cleaning procedures and checklists to ensure consistent quality.

Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and address any concerns.

Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while representing the company.
