Part-Time Daycare Teacher (1:00 PM – 6:30 PM, Monday–Friday)

Location: Gem Kids Infant & Toddler Center – Emmett, Idaho

Age Group: 6 weeks to 4 years old

We are a brand new daycare center located in the heart of Emmett, across from the Emmett City Park. At Gem Kids Infant & Toddler Center, we believe in creating a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and grow. Our center uses the FunShine Express Curriculum to provide age-appropriate educational experiences while fostering creativity, independence, and social skills.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a caring and reliable Part-Time Daycare Teacher to join our team! The ideal candidate loves working with children and can provide safe, consistent, and developmentally supportive care during our afternoon program hours. You’ll help implement activities, maintain routines, and ensure a smooth transition between learning, nap, and end-of-day care.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday | 1:00 PM – 6:30 PM

(25–28 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage children ages 6 weeks to 4 years in a safe, loving environment.

Support and implement daily lesson plans using the FunShine Express Curriculum.

Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety standards.

Assist with snacks, diapering, toileting, and daily routines.

Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.

Provide age-appropriate guidance, emotional support, and encouragement.

Help prepare classrooms for end-of-day pick-up and closing duties.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old.

Experience working in a childcare or early learning setting preferred.

Ability to obtain or currently hold:

CPR/First Aid Certification

IdahoSTARS training and background clearance

Dependable, team-oriented, and passionate about working with young children.

Able to lift up to 40 lbs and engage in active play indoors and outdoors.
