Showcase your service and organization strengths as Banquet Captain, where your attention to detail, safety and quality will help “set the stage” for a successful group function.Hourly Rate: $18.03What you will be doing:Oversee the set-up and breakdown of function roomsCheck service stations for necessary equipment and set up: food, beverages, ice, dishes, and utensils; replenish as neededProvide any service required by the guests on the banquet floorProvide support for banquet servers during eventsEnsure that overall cleanliness and maintenance of our banquet venues exceeds expectationsAssist guest regarding menu items in an informative and helpful wayHave full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methodsAct as a liaison between the Kitchen and the floor.Assume responsibility of the function in the absence of the Banquet Manager.Assist with Payroll and Scheduling responsibilities as assigned.Effectively manage, lead and supervise the banquet team.Ensure the delivery of excellent service by maintaining high staff morale and team spirit.Motivate, lead, coach and monitor the performance of the Banquet team members.Assist Banquet Manager with performance reviews for Banquet team members as assigned.Clear and reset tables in a timely manner while adhering to the State of Hawaii & EHC (Environmental Health Consultancy) food handling safety standardsMaintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment; report any malfunctioning equipmentMaintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guestsFocus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesSchedule:  Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
