Local DME Company is expanding its sales forces and is looking for new and bright minds to market Durable Medical Equipment to patients and medical facilities within their network of contacts. We carry only specific DME items that are in high demand and we are just looking for a few reps to train and teach our line of DME items.
Essential duties and responsibilities.
Customer service: Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, doctor's offices, and other medical facilities. Handling inquiries and resolving issues related to orders, equipment, and documentation.
Order and intake management: Receive and process new orders for equipment and supplies via fax or email. Enter patient demographics, insurance, and medical information properly into have clear communications to the main office for processing.
Product fitting and education:
o Properly fit and provide instruction to patients on the correct and safe use of medical equipment such as braces, mobility aids, Lymphedema Pump and Wound Vac upon delivery.
o Educate patients and caregivers on equipment maintenance and troubleshooting on delivery.
o Educate Doctors and doctor’s office staff on the process of ordering DME and educate them on DME in a live demonstration
Inventory and delivery coordination:
o Coordinate equipment delivery, setup, and service appointments with patients.
o Maintain organized stock of equipment and perform inventory check on Fridays.
o Show professionalism at all in-person appointments with doctors and patients
Sales and relationship management (for sales representatives):
o Build and nurture relationships with healthcare providers and facilities that order DME.
o Promoting DME options to all medical facilities contacts by attending conferences and in servicing medical offices.
o Handle tradeshow tables and build networks with the community for referrals.
Documentation and compliance:
o Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in an email or fax
o Ensure all processes and documentation comply with relevant regulations and laws Federal and State of GA.
Skills and qualifications
Education and experience: A high school diploma is required, while a bachelor’s degree in a related field is often preferred. Previous experience working as MA (Medical Assistant) in Pain Management, Primary Care, Internal Med, or Geriatrics. Insurance (Medicare) sales, or customer service role within the DME or in the healthcare industry is also a strong asset.
Customer service skills: The ability to provide empathetic and high-quality support to clients, especially in sensitive situations, is essential. Working with Seniors and show patience along with kindness.
Technical knowledge: A good understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and specific DME products knowledge is strongly preferred but willing to teach a GO GETTER
Organizational skills: Strong attention to detail on ordering forms, and the ability to handle multiple tasks are crucial for managing orders, documentation, and follow-ups.
