Architecture Manager -Buildings + Places

AECOM is seeking Architecture Manager to join our growing Buildings + Places team in our Tampa, FL office.  Do you thrive on solving complex building design issues and teaching how/why the art of detailing?  Do you thrive on solving detailing and constructability issues – with a solutions-oriented mindset?We are seeking qualified candidates at a senior level of experience in architectural practice and building design and engineering, able to provide leadership for all stages of projects, guiding projects, teams, and clients. You may be the ideal candidate if you are a seasoned architect passionate about developing quality architecture, through design and documentation. Candidates should possess high level of technical expertise for project design development and engineering, thoroughness of design documents, constructability, and quality control.  The role will have responsibility and opportunity for mentoring and advising a team of architects/engineers and provide a senior-level depth of industry experience.  This opportunity is a key role to help us grow our team, skills, advance technical knowledge, practices, and enhance our leadership. Job Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:Supports, oversees and coordinates architecture activities for an operating unit.Makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative.Initiates and maintains contact with senior-level management within the company and is skilled in dispute resolution and negotiation of critical issues. At this level, the individual will have demonstrated understanding of project delivery requirements, creativity, foresight, working with a multi-disciplinary team to meet project goals and deliver high quality technical excellence.Serve as a professional specialist for the organization in the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles and processes.  Is consulted extensively by associates and others with a high degree of reliance on their professional interpretations and technical knowledge.Demonstrates mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual operations problems, determining operational objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guides for diverse architectural activities.Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.Lead training and evaluation of assigned personnel, standards, and processes.Assist in regional development of architectural methods and techniques.Collaborate with building engineers, specialists, landscape architects, civil engineers, and similar disciplines to identify and maintain best practices.Provides support and leadership to others in achieving the technical objectives of the overall work effort. Develop relationships with vendors, suppliers, contractors, for product and construction knowledge.Advise and support RFP pursuits and/or areas of specialization.
