Assistant Baker

Job Description

Walker & William, a growing, Denver-based retail and e-commerce confectionery business, is seeking an experienced Assistant Baker, dedicated to making artisanal bakery products with quality ingredients in small batches. We are offering a part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

- Prior baking experience required

- Ability to stand, walk and move for long periods of time and to lift or carry up to 50 pound bags of flour and sugar

- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow recipes with accuracy

- Must be able to travel to and from Commerce City, Colorado for work

- Ability to preserve a tidy and structured work area

Responsibilities

- Wear company uniform including apron and hat

- Mix large batches of cookie dough and cake batter; occasional packaging of finished products may be required

- Attention to detail in measuring ingredients for recipe accuracy

- Basic daily baking, cleaning, sanitizing, equipment maintenance and quality control
